Facilities Rental

Δ    We invite you to sample the atmosphere at the Prairie Museum of Art and History for your business meetings, family celebrations and charitable gatherings. Whether you are seeking an old fashioned wedding or an elegant evening among world class artifacts, your event will be memorable.

Δ    The staff is pleased to assist you with your event planning. Ask about amenities such as coffee and the use of audiovisual equipment, tables and chairs. Local restaurants may be able to cater events at the Museum.

Δ    The GARVEY EDUCATION ROOM located inside the Museum is available for business meetings, family reunions, club meetings and receptions. Fifty chairs and ten tables are available for use in the room.

• $75.00 includes admission
• $150.00 after hours
• $25.00 Room setup includes coffee, 10 tables, and 50 chairs - Fees for other services

Evening tours - $150.00 minimum / $4 per person over 35 people

Δ    The LONE STAR CHURCH would make a perfect setting for a small, intimate wedding or other church services. This 1915 charming, white county church will seat approximately 100 guests. There is electricity in the building and large ceiling fans, but there is no heating or air conditioning. The building can be rented from April 1 through October 31.

Church (April 1-Oct. 31 only) $100 deposit

• $125 rent
• $250 after hours
• $75 for cleaning
• $100 day for additional day or portions of a day not during regular hour

Δ  The COOPER BARN has a magnificent loft, which is ideal for receptions, open houses or dances. It is one of the largest barns in Kansas , measuring 66 feet wide, 114 feet long, and 48 feet high. The barn was built in 1936, sixteen miles NE of Colby and moved to the site in 1992. The barn has electricity. Restrooms are available in the main Museum building. The barn can be rented from April 1 through October 31.

Cooper Barn (April 1-Oct. 31 only ) $200 deposit

• $300 day during regular hours 9-5 M-F, 1-5 Sat. Sun
• $400 after hours
• $200 day for additional day or portions of a day not during regular hours
• $300 for cleaning of barn
